FAQ

  • How to wash a car in a self-service serve car wash? ▼
To wash a car in a self-service car wash, follow these general steps: - Prepare your car by removing any loose dirt or debris. - Choose the appropriate settings on the self-service car wash station. - Rinse the car with water from top to bottom to remove loose dirt and grime. - Apply soap using the foam gun or brush provided by the system. - Use the brush or sponge to scrub the car, paying attention to all areas. - Rinse off the soap thoroughly, again starting from the top and working your way down.
What is the best detergent to use in a self-service car wash? ▼
It is recommended to use a pH-neutral car shampoo or detergent specifically formulated for automotive use, such as provided by AutolavadoN1. Our product is gentle on the car's paint and won't strip off any existing wax or protective coatings.
Do I need to wash off the wax with water at a self-service car wash? ▼
If you applied protective wax on your car, it is recommended to wash it off with osmosis water (step 6) at a self-service car wash. We recommended completing all the six steps when washing your car for the best results.
Do I need to rinse the car before applying the foam? ▼
Yes, it is important to rinse the car before applying the foam. Rinsing helps to remove loose dirt and debris, making the foam more effective in lifting and encapsulating remaining dirt. Start rinsing from the top to allow the water to flow down and carry away the dirt.
  • What precautionary measures should I take while using a self-service car wash? ▼
Here are some precautionary measures to consider: - Park your car properly to avoid interfering with other customers. - Follow the instructions and guidelines provided by the car wash facility. - Protect your eyes by wearing safety goggles if necessary. - Use appropriate cleaning tools and techniques to avoid scratching the car's surface. - Be mindful of water and soap usage to conserve resources and prevent runoff pollution.
How much does it cost to wash a car at a car wash? ▼
The cost of washing a car at a car wash can vary depending on the location, services offered, and the type of car wash you choose. Self-service car washes usually operate on a pay-per-use basis, where you pay for the time and services you use.
What can't you do at a car wash? ▼
There are a few things you should avoid doing at a car wash: - Do not wash your car engine in a self-service car wash. Engine bays are not designed to handle the high-pressure water, and it can cause damage to sensitive electrical components. - Avoid using household cleaning products or abrasive materials that can scratch or damage the car's paint. - Do not leave valuables or personal items unattended during the wash.
What comes first, the water or the foam? ▼
In a typical self-service car wash, water usually comes first. You start by rinsing the car with water to remove loose dirt and debris. After rinsing, you can then apply the foam or soap using the foam gun or brush provided at the station.
  • What happens if the active foam is washed off badly? ▼
If the active foam is washed off inadequately, it may leave behind residue or streaks on the car's surface. This can affect the overall cleanliness and appearance of the vehicle. It's important to rinse off the foam thoroughly, making sure to cover all areas, to achieve a clean and spot-free finish.
How long can you keep the foam on the car? ▼
The duration for keeping the foam on the car can vary depending on the specific foam product and the instructions provided by the manufacturer. At Autolavado N1, you can start washing it off right after applying. We use only highly effective cleaning products that don't require long periods of time to be activated.
What is better for washing, active foam or foaming brush? ▼
Both active foam and foaming brush can be effective for washing a car, but they serve slightly different purposes. The foaming brush is designed to provide a thorough cleaning and can be gentler on the car's surface. Foam, on the other hand, is often used as a pre-wash or pre-treatment to help loosen and encapsulate dirt and grime. It's recommended to use a high-quality car shampoo for regular washing and foam as an additional step for better cleaning results.
